Exponential impact through multiple organisations

TheWell was officially launched on October 1st and a limited number of devices has been made available for sales. Many organisations have already shown interest in the TheWell, resulting in several meetings to discuss how they can benefit from TheWell and best use the new standards for offline digital media and training distribution. These conversations are important because we want TheWell to successfully deliver life-transforming content to the many who are struggling with access to Christian digital resources. Technology alone is not enough. In order for technology to serve a purpose it must be embedded in an effective strategy. While TheWell provides a new technological solution to deliver content, it is important to understand how we can best maximize the output. We want to see good results through the deployment of TheWell. We want to see lives transformed. This is why every single conversation we have with our clients is of utmost importance.

In the forefront, but not frontend

In TheWell Systems we are on the forefront when it comes to offline technology, but we are not working in the frontend. Others are. We have a great passion to support the many ministries worldwide who are working tirelessly to reach communities and individuals with the gospel. We want to create digital standards for those serving in the field, so they can be more effective in their ministries. We have found that the best way we can make a global and exponential impact is by working through and with other organisations. Not only do we want to work through organisations, but we also want to encourage a stronger collaboration between organisations, especially around content creation and distribution. There are already many Christian digital resources available, but, unfortunately, most of them require a good, stable internet connection for downloads or streams, which can be an issue. One third of the world’s population has never been online and many live in what is called internet poverty, which means they can’t afford to buy expensive data bundles to get access to the internet. Others live under government imposed restrictions, which prevents them from accessing and downloading Christian content. These are the primary markets TheWell wants to serve

Until now, offline distribution has been associated with royalty free access to content. But with TheWell we can offer a standard for the many who want to protect content and/or offer content on a subscription model. This is a gamechanger in the offline context. We believe that the ability to better control offline content and get access to statistical and analytical data is an encouragement to many ministries.

Affordability has been another priority for TheWell from the outset. We have worked on identifying an affordable solution for the majority world. This is why TheWell device is currently sold at 95 USD, which makes it competitive compared to other products. An affordable subscription model per box guarantees that TheWell will have access to our state of the art cloud solution, with content management, box management, and statistical data. We are offering an affordable subscription model to keep devices refreshed with latest updates and have access to new content. Organisations can buy multiple boxes in packages and create their own portal with proprietary content. In the near future, we will release our marketplace, where content providers can advertise their content and content consumers can browse and find appropriate content for their contexts
