Introducing Gabriela
What is your background?
I am Brazilian. I have a BA in Portuguese Language and Literature and the equivalent to a Post Graduate Diploma in Translation Studies. While working on my BA, I was an English teacher and, after my studies, I opened my own company that provided translation services.
Why did you initially join DECIBEL?
Two main reasons made me join DECIBEL:
The first was the scope of the work that was being done – doing our work with excellency to provide materials and train church leaders with our stakeholders in mind, almost like a tailor-made solution.
And the second reason was the team. When I joined, we had people based all over the world bringing different perspectives into our work. This type of diversity is hard to find.
What are your current responsibilities within DECIBEL?
Today I coordinate the translation process of all our communications and courses, and I am Head of Support and Client Relations for TheWell.
What are you dreaming about for the future?
The team at DECIBEL have been through long periods of planning and development. So, my dream for the future is to see the products we have been developing on ground and producing fruits to further God’s kingdom.
