It has been a very long time since the previous update from The Relay Trust. But now we are ready to share some important news:

Welcome to a new charity!

After careful consideration and many prayers it has been decided to separate The Relay Trust into two entities. While The Relay Trust will continue to provide grant support through the Relay200 projects, the content department, systems department, and Word Online will become an independent organisation by April 2023. The new organization will be called DECIBEL Training. We are currently in the process of setting up the legal structures and the governance for the new charity. As an independent charity DECIBEL Training will be able to increase its scope both in terms of geography and denomination. DECIBEL Training will attempt to raise financial support to achieve its mission.

What is DECIBEL Training?

DECIBEL is an acronym for digitally enhanced community-based learning. The focus of DECIBEL Training is to create and support the design of training resources for pastors in an audio-visual format as well as building the digital learning platforms for the effective distribution of training in remote and offline contexts.

DECIBEL Training wants to help identify effective solutions to scale up and maintain high quality training of pastors globally. We are aware of the enormous global challenges faced by the churches, which is caused by massive growth in the number of Christians in many parts of the world coupled with a significant lack of trained leaders. We want to serve alongside like-minded organizations and networks to build strategies and identify appropriate solutions to these challenges, so we can see thriving churches and the gospel preached in word and deed.
